By opting in to receive text messages from Advia, you’ll be notified about branch closings, important updates and special offers designed just for you. Here are some valuable tips:

  • Update Your Mobile Number - We’ll text the mobile number you have on file with Advia, so make sure it’s updated in Digital Banking (within the menu, select Security & Settings followed by Update Your Contact Info).
  • Save Us as a Contact – Once opted in, add 23828 to your phone’s contacts so you’ll know it’s us when you receive future text messages.
  • Keywords – At any time, text HELP for additional information, STOP to opt out, or ADVIA to opt back in.
  • How Links Will Display - In our ongoing effort to prevent fraudulent activity we want to make sure you know how to spot a legitimate link coming from Advia CU. Text Message Offers and Information links will display as text.adviacu.org. Please do not click any links that are misspelled or have been otherwise shortened.

Loan Payment2 & Vehicle Insurance Reminders.3

When you have a loan with Advia, we may text you with reminders about payments due, vehicle insurance requirements, and more. These are unsolicited texts, so it’s very important to recognize the numbers being used to send messages. When in doubt, simply call us at 844-238-4228 to confirm why you may be receiving this type of alert.

Loan Payment Reminders – You may receive a message from 877-626-9600. Simply follow links provided to make your payment, or text back to speak with a Lending Specialist. Keywords you can use include HELP for payment assistance, STOP to opt out, and UNSTOP to opt back in.

Vehicle Insurance Reminders – You may receive a message from 86940 reminding you about insurance requirements on vehicle loans. The message may reference myinsuranceinfo.com. Keywords you can use include HELP for additional information and STOP to opt out.

On Demand Account Balances and More - Text Banking4 and e-Alerts.

With Text Banking and e-Alerts, you’re able to quickly check your balance, transfer funds, receive account security alerts, and more.

Text Banking

With Text Banking, you’re able to check your balance, transfer funds, and review recent transaction history. Here’s how easy it is to get started:

  • Step 1: To enroll, log into Digital Banking, and from the menu, select Services followed by Text Banking. Enter your preferred mobile phone number and agree to the service terms.
  • Step 2: Text select keywords to 226563 for on-demand updates.

You can simply text LIST to 226563 for a complete list of available Keywords. Popular ones include:

BAL – for updated balance information
HIST – for transaction history
XFER - to transfer funds between accounts

e-Alerts

e-Alerts allow you to be notified automatically for select account balance notifications as well as a wide variety of security alerts. Here’s how easy it is to get started:

  • Step 1: To enroll, log into Digital Banking, and from the menu, select Services followed by Account Alerts.
  • Step 2: Select from the wide menu of account related notifications and security alerts.

e-Alert text messages will come from short code 86434.

Online Purchases – One-time Password (OTP) Verification Alerts.5

From time to time, when you make an online purchase with your Credit or Debit Card, Advia will initiate a verification pop-up window on the merchant page to confirm the purchase is not fraudulent. There is no opt in requirement for these types of texts and they will be received from short code 44397. To confirm the purchase is legitimate, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) to enter into the online pop-up window.

If you receive this type of OTP and have NOT authorized an online purchase, we urge you to contact our Fraud Detection team immediately at 844-238-4228.

Pay By Text With Express Pay6

With Express Pay, you can opt in to receive Pay By Text messages from short code 48374. Once enabled, you can make payments from another bank or credit union. Sign up for Pay by Text: 

  • Step 1: Once you are signed up for the Express Pay portal, you can opt in to Pay By Text. While logged in, on the home screen of the portal under ‘Account Summary,’ click ‘Set Up Now’ under the Pay By Text header.
  • Step 2: You will then be prompted to enter your cell phone number and validate it in the portal.
  • Step 3: If you want to make adjustments to this feature once you’re signed up, click ‘Payment Actions’ > ‘View Pay By Text’ to edit your phone number or cancel the service.

Frequently asked questions.

At account opening, each member consents to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA) which allows Advia to send members account notifications via telephone, text message, or email. See more in the Member Agreement.

You can opt out of any of these services by texting STOP to the assigned phone number above or disabling the service via Digital Banking.

Yes! We use a secure method of texting to keep your account information safe. Remember, only respond to texts from the above-referenced numbers when communicating with Advia. If you receive a text from a different number, don’t respond, and please let us know. Learn more on our fraud protection page.

Making sure we have your correct mobile number is important to keeping your account secure. To verify, log into Digital Banking, click Preferences, then Manage Contact Info.

You can simply reply to the text message or call the number to speak with someone from our Lending team.

If set up on autopay, no action is required on your part. You will still receive the Loan Reminder text messages unless opted-out.

You can opt back in by texting the word RESUME to 44397.

The only way to opt out of the one-time passcode feature is to reply STOP to 44397 using your mobile device. This is not recommended. If you do this and continue shopping online, you will not receive a One-Time Passcode (OTP) when required for subsequent purchases. You will always receive a failed authentication for these transactions until you opt in to OTP again.

No, all Debit and Credit cardholders are automatically opted in.

EMV 3D Secure provides a behind the scenes authentication process that assesses transaction types and determines which are most likely to pose a threat. EMV 3D Secure rules verify the data provided by the merchant about the cardholder to determine if the transaction is valid.
