Advia Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Wright as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective November 25, 2024. With more than 20 years of finance and audit experience, including 11 years previously spent with Advia, Wright brings a wealth of expertise and a strong familiarity of the organization.
Jeff Fielder, Advia’s CEO and President, shared his enthusiasm for Wright’s return, stating, “We’re excited to welcome Tony back to Advia. Reflecting on his return to Advia, Wright – a longtime resident of the Kalamazoo, MI area – expressed his excitement, saying, “I’m honored to rejoin the Advia team and look forward to advancing our mission with fresh perspectives and a passion for financial growth.”
In collaboration with Fielder, Wright will play a key role in ensuring Advia’s financial stability and strategic direction. His responsibilities include treasury, budgeting, tax compliance, asset management, and financial reporting.
“I’m dedicated to financial stability and integrity, which ultimately translates to greater opportunities for our members,” Wright said. “By aligning our resources and expertise, we’ll continue driving meaningful impact.”
With Advia ranked in the top 3% of U.S. credit unions—serving nearly 200,000 members and managing over $3 billion in assets—Wright’s role plays a major part on the organization’s progress. As CFO, he will also manage risk, optimize investment portfolios, and ensure regulatory compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and other requirements.
On a personal note, Wright is deeply engaged in community activities, including supporting local youth athletics. He and his wife, along with their two young children, look forward to reconnecting with Advia.
